I guess at this point I just want to keep running for fitness and weight control.

Personal:

I was born in Moscow, Russia in '68, where I started running sprint events in '83. I moved to the US (NYC area) in '91 and didn't run again till '96 when I discovered road racing scene. I was hooked after my first 5K race. I had another break in running from '01-'04 and decided to seriously get back into it in August of '05. I'm married and have 16 year old daughter. I have moved to London in August '06, will probably stay here for a few years.

easy run in 53:13. Light rain. I was supposed to do strides afterwards, but the roads were too slippery for my comfort.

Did tempo intervals workout today. I didn't feel the best today, kind of sluggish. Did 2x3000m with 2:50 jog rest on Fort Lee HS Track. It was very hard, times were 14:07 and 14:11. I tried to run second faster than the first, but just didn't have it today. 4mi warmup and cooldown.

I was dragging today. Time was 55:48. So tired... legs are dead. I wore my Garmin with HRM and it just confirmed my feeling bad. HR was 150 on average, and I was running 9min. pace! Ugh, I hope I recover for tomorrow's 14-miler. Did 4x100m fast strides after the run.

another tough run. It was too warm and sunny, 75F - the sign of things to come. This was supposed to be fast finish long run, but my efforts to pick up the pace didn't get me good results. I was working hard and still running slow. Oh well... I was supposed to run up to 8mi at 8:20 - 8:10 pace, but could only manage 4.8mi in 39:45 (8:16 pace). HR was too high again, 159 average, but that also could be from the heat and not enough hydration.
