Personal:

I was born in Moscow, Russia in '68, where I started running sprint events in '83. I moved to the US (NYC area) in '91 and didn't run again till '96 when I discovered road racing scene. I was hooked after my first 5K race. I had another break in running from '01-'04 and decided to seriously get back into it in August of '05. I'm married and have 16 year old daughter. I have moved to London in August '06, will probably stay here for a few years.

Decided to go a little longer today. Garmin was late picking up the signal, and HRM was out of sorts as well, showing range from 85 to 140. So bad day in technology department today!

I turned around after 9:30 thinking it must be about a mile, and finished in 19:20.  Tried to map the distance on gmap-pedometer,com, but couldn't pinpoint the location I turned around exactly. It was in the middle of London Business School building, but there are no intersections there. Got approximately 1.9 miles - close enough. My adductors are very sore after my first 12 min. run - haha, that's how little I need these days! But at least it wasn't crazy windy like yesterday. Still cold though - 4C, wind chill 0C. Where is the spring??

Total time: 19:20 (10:10 pace) - approximate.

You've surprised me, it's good to see you've started running again so soon. I bet it felt really good, despite the wintry conditions. We've got the first white Easter here for 7 years, got to have a little bit more patience waiting for spring.

Wow, I wasn't expecting to see you running again already. But I'm happy to see it! Welcome back, and do be careful!

What a relief to be running again. Nice to see your posts again!
